Burner Control Safety Switch (Normally Open)

It automatically closes the electrical circuit to ignite the burner only when the pump vacuum begins drawing water. If the pump shuts down, or the water tank runs empty, the vacuum breaks and immediately opens the switch—instantly shutting off the burner to prevent dangerous overheating and coil damage.
